Preparation of ceramide liposomes

01 ceramide

Ceramide is a lipid that makes up about 40-50% of this lipid matrix in healthy skin. The other components are

cholesterol (about 25%) and free fatty acids (10-15%). It can form a waterproof barrier on the skin surface,

which can not only help the skin to lock in water, bear the role of protecting the skin and moisturizing,

moisturizing, etc., but also promote the skin barrier to self-repair, protect the skin from external stimulation and

other functions, but the secretion of ceramide in the skin will decrease with age, thereby causing a series of

problems such as dry, aging, rough skin.

02 Application difficulties

Ceramide has a high melting point, low solubility, and is easy to crystallize or flocculate from cosmetic formulas,

which not only affects the stability of the formula, but also reduces the utilization rate of ceramide, greatly limiting

 its application.

03 Nano liposome coated ceramide technology

ATS uses high pressure homogenization and nano liposome encapsulation technology to wrap ceramide in nano

liposome, which solves the problems of solubility and applicability well and improves the availability.

Advantages of liposomes:

Transdermal: The liposome has a high degree of biocompatibility with the lipid of the skin stratum corneum,

which realizes the transdermal absorption of the effective ingredients.

Slow release: The drug with liposome as the carrier is easily absorbed in the epidermal layer and dermis layer,

forming a drug reservoir, and the drug can be released continuously.

Repairability: Even if there is no liposome that encapsulates the active substance, it can inhibit water loss in the

deep skin; At the same time, repair the damaged human cell membrane and provide phospholipids for the phospholipid

bilayer of the new cell membrane.

Protection: By encapsulating the active ingredient in liposomes, the active ingredient is isolated from the external

environment to improve the stability of the active substance.

** ** : Liposomes are formed from natural substances and are non-toxic, degradable and non-immunogenic.

The size of the ceramide liposomes prepared by ATS was uniform and the state was stable.
